Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year Maverick Families!

       I am excited to be your PTO President for our 2023-2024 school year! This is my second year serving in the President position, but I have served on the MCMS PTO Board for the past 5 years. We had a great year last year bringing back events that we had to halt due to Covid and we added some new events like Chick-fil-A lunches and Spring Day. I'm proud to say that we will continue to do those same beloved events this year! With your help by joining the PTO, donating to Invest In Your Maverick (also known as Raise The Creek), selling City Saver books, buying Chick-fil-A lunches, and letting your kiddos attend our events, we were able to donate some much needed items to the school at the beginning of this school year! We provided them with 2 Smart Boards on Wheels, a 65" TV for a new classroom, a document scanner, 6 document cameras for teachers to use while teaching, 3 electric 3-hole punches, a white board for a new classroom, a portable PA system, and we upgraded our audio system in the gym. Thank you so much for your support!

       Our focus for this year, is the same as last year. Our school has been open for 7 years and all our technology is nearing its lifespan. While it was nice to have all new things when we opened the school, it is becoming quite cumbersome now that we must start replacing all this failing technology. Almost every room has an Interactive SmartBoard that the teachers use to teach from EVERY DAY. These SmartBoards cost roughly $3,000/each to replace. In addition, we will be raising money for staff and student morale. Our administration loves to reward staff and students who go above and beyond!

          How can you help us reach our goals?

• Join the PTO for $25. This does not require you to volunteer or anything else. Your kiddo will receive a sno cone during lunch on August 24^th, if you join before August 20^th. Click Here

       Our Communication Chair will send out our weekly PTO newsletter entailing all our events, however, if you would like to know what fun things we have planned for this year, please see below!
